Last weekend, the Hughes family met up at Mirror Lake, Wisconsin (halfway between Minneapolis and Chicago) to go camping. Here's a rundown of the main events of the weekend, and some photos.
On the way there, on Friday night, Shelly and Barney got a flat tire, and had to spend the night in a hotel to wait until the next morning when it could be fixed.
After everyone got there on Saturday morning, Charlie cooked us breakfast. The rest of the day was spent relaxing at the campsite, taking walks, and laying at the beach.
Saturday night, we had spaghetti, thanks to Peter and JoAnne, followed by S'mores and more hanging out.
Sunday morning, we woke up, had breafast (french toast, eggs, bagels), packed up the campsite, and spent some more time at the beach.
Before everyone went home, we stopped by Denny's and at a meal together.
All together, it was a great weekend; good family time. Here's the family picture from the weekend.
