BY ORDER OF THE AUTHOR - Wendell Berry's introduction to Jayber Crow.
If you've come looking for the Blogosphere, Cyberspace, or the Information Superhighway, please leave. If you whine about this, I will rudely interrupt you with "Bzz..., zip it, shut it", and gesture a stiff arm towards the exit.
Jayber is a weblog of stories written by me, Mark Benson, about things going on in my life, childhood memories, or things that crack me up--all with an attempt to write in a creative way. If this sounds interesting, feel free to make yourself at home.
I'm interested in web standards, accessibility, usability, user-centered design, domain-driven design, design patterns, personal productivity, software process, photography, art, reading, tennis, soccer, and writing.
Here is a sampling of photos I've posted to Flickr.
Jayber Crow is a character (and a title) in one of my favorite books by Wendell Berry. Everyone who likes to read has had one or more books that really grabbed them. Jayber Crow was that book for me.
Family is one of the most important things to me which is why most of the posts on this site have something to do with Family.
I'm currently in graduate school at the University of Minnesota in the MSSE (Master of Science in Software Engineering) program.
Flickr is an online photo-sharing site, that I'm a big fan of. Most of the photos I post here are linked to Flickr. Here's my photo stream.
